TOGATA is a Berlin-based label for women’s fashion design. It was established in 2012 in Berlin by the founder and lead designer Adriana Baldacci. After obtaining her doctor’s degree in German Literature and Arts in 2010, Adriana Baldacci has not ceased to pursue her passion for art and design.
The first collection she created, called DYNAMIC ELEGANCE, pays homage to the designers, dancers and composers of the Ballets Russes, who have continuously been a source of inspiration during the years. The collection concentrates on prints and combines the brilliant colors of the fabrics with the minimalist cuts. The designer’s aim is here to absorb the qualities of art painting into everyday fashion.
In the second collection, URBANISM AND MODERNITY, the designer translates modernist concepts and aesthetic principles into a new sense of fashion: concepts such as geometry, discrepancy and antagonism combined with the sporty, yet urban cuts and materials aim to re-create the urban woman. Pieces out of wool and silk have sporty and dynamic cuts; active, breathable materials are combined with geometric leather elements and elegant, fluid cuts. This discrepancy is meant to gratify the modern urban woman in the day-to-day life.
